Customer lifetime value is the total worth to a business of a customer over the entire period of their relationship.
Basically, this is how much a specific customer is worth to you from the first time they interact with your business until the last time (which is hopefully forever).
If a customer goes from a potential buyer to a first time buyer, that initial value is the PROFIT gained from the customer after the costs of your advertising, product costs, fees, etc.
But if that customer purchases from you again and again, the lifetime value increases- because you don’t have to SPEND any additional advertising or marketing costs to gain that customer.
